My stay at the Foundry was excellent. The house features lovely period décor and offers off-street parking. The breakfast menu was extensive, with freshly cooked options including an exquisite full English. The owners were exceptionally welcoming, and the room had the best shower I've used in years, coupled with a spacious and clean environment.

The delicious breakfast of freshly cooked Eggs Benedict was a highlight of our stay, showcasing the host's attention to detail.
The parking situation was quite tight, with access limited to just a few cars on a busy road, making it a bit challenging.

Exceptional food and a warm welcome
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and shown to our lovely room, which had a comfortable bed and a fantastic ensuite bathroom. The breakfasts were a standout feature, with locally sourced ingredients showcasing a full English that was delicious and hearty. We also enjoyed two evening meals prepared by Dawn, which were wonderfully presented and rivaled any restaurant’s offerings—we were especially impressed with the attention to detail in each dish. The only slight improvement would be the addition of a larger mirror in the room for easier hair drying.

The steps leading up to the front door posed a challenge, especially for those with mobility issues. Some rooms felt slightly cramped due to their size compared to the larger bathrooms, and pillows were a bit bulky, causing discomfort for some guests. The bathroom heater was overly warm, requiring a simple adjustment that some guests forgot to ask about.

spacious room, great shower, clean environment
4 pm check-in means hanging around too long!!! Parking for only 4 cars is inconvenient with busy road access. A defective toilet created unnecessary hassles while we waited for a plumber to fix it.

A delightful stay with exceptional cooking
From the moment we arrived, we felt like cherished guests. The delicious full English breakfasts with home-baked treats made mornings extra special. Dawn’s warmth and expertise truly enhanced our stay.
Although the steps at the entrance posed a challenge, it was a minor inconvenience considering the warmth of our visit. A larger mirror would have been useful for getting ready.

The large room featured a spacious ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, making for a relaxing stay. Breakfasts were generous and beautifully presented, showcasing attention to detail with locally sourced ingredients. Although the location offered tranquility, it was somewhat distant from the town center, and parking was limited, creating some inconvenience. A full-length mirror would have made getting ready easier, especially for those needing more space for personal care items.
