My stay at the Foundry was excellent. The house features lovely period décor and offers off-street parking. The breakfast menu was extensive, with freshly cooked options including an exquisite full English. The owners were exceptionally welcoming, and the room had the best shower I've used in years, coupled with a spacious and clean environment.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and shown to our lovely room, which had a comfortable bed and a fantastic ensuite bathroom. The breakfasts were a standout feature, with locally sourced ingredients showcasing a full English that was delicious and hearty. We also enjoyed two evening meals prepared by Dawn, which were wonderfully presented and rivaled any restaurant’s offerings—we were especially impressed with the attention to detail in each dish. The only slight improvement would be the addition of a larger mirror in the room for easier hair drying.

The steps leading up to the front door posed a challenge, especially for those with mobility issues. Some rooms felt slightly cramped due to their size compared to the larger bathrooms, and pillows were a bit bulky, causing discomfort for some guests. The bathroom heater was overly warm, requiring a simple adjustment that some guests forgot to ask about.

Dining at the communal table fostered delightful conversations with other guests, and Dawn's homemade cakes were a lovely touch after our hikes. The beautiful decor enhanced our experience, making each moment special.

Dawn's cooking was stellar,, every meal felt like a rare treat. The atmosphere in the dining room was warm & inviting. we shared great laughs with other guests and couldn't get enough of that home-made bread.
